hi all

now there is a problem every time i play on UT after awhile my computer restarts or shutdown
and now is really anoying me because ive been winning matches and it shut down i dont know
what is wrong i never used to do it

just wondering if anyone can help me to sort this problem out

hi ,do u use antivirus?,if not there is avg for free i use it and it works good.
i had a restart problem once because of a powerconnector in the pc that wasnt attached well thats all i can think of.

yes i got a antivirus i use pc tools

maybe it's a thermal problem ... are all the fan's turning ??? i had probs because the powersupply wasn't enough powerful ??? maybe a virus ??? hahaha using VISTA right -> thats your Virus lol it also can be a Hardware problem on the machine ... do you have installed new Software ??? or changed anything ??? Registy entry's or something ???

it's really difficult to say what's the problem ... perhaps it helps if you post your systemspecs any ifo can help to find the error or just try a fresh installation of Windows.

does it ONLY happen when ut is on ?


do you have other games you can play for a while ?


how long does it take to reboot ? 10 seconds, 15 mins


are you using opengl ?? if so try dx8/9

make another copy of ut with sum1 elses inis and try then



the important 1 is probly does the pc crash with only ut

ur running vista now ? did u formatt?, do u have a new pc ? did u upgrade the Power Supply ??


do:

click start
in search box type: dxdiag
when the window loads choose "no" for loading driver thingy(takes ages)
when it loads click save all information
save the file somewhere
send it to me on msn



also check ur computer, if its custom made, check the power supply, if u can see the wattage anywhere then post that, if not try posting the make/model and i will find it for you

nah i dont play with opengl

yes i formated my pc and put vista on it no i didnt upgrade my pc and it not a new one it still my old pc sameo n when i had exp on it but it's running fine with vista yes it only did it when i played UT


i dont know why now but i kinda stopped doing it i will pst back here if it does it agin
